The Fizik Antares Versus Evo R1 Adaptive is a performance-oriented road saddle that combines a familiar Antares profile with digitally manufactured Adaptive cushioning. This listing is for the black 139 mm version with carbon rails. It is intended for riders seeking a responsive saddle with carefully varied support across different contact zones rather than one uniform layer of conventional foam.
The Adaptive upper uses a visible three-dimensional lattice structure. Its zones can be tuned with different mechanical characteristics, allowing firmer support where stability matters and more compliance where pressure relief is needed. The Versus Evo channel runs through the center of the saddle to reduce sustained pressure along sensitive areas while preserving support on either side.
Carbon rails reduce weight and give the saddle its R1 designation. Carbon saddle rails require a compatible seatpost clamp: confirm rail shape and dimensions before installation, and never exceed Fizik or the seatpost manufacturer’s torque specification. Correct saddle height, fore-aft position, tilt, and width selection remain important to comfort; advanced padding cannot compensate for an unsuitable fit.
The open lattice can be cleaned according to Fizik’s care instructions. Avoid unapproved solvents, high heat, or installation practices that could damage the printed padding, shell, or rails.
