Giant Original MTB Sport Platform Pedals are robust aluminum flat pedals for trail, enduro, downhill, and aggressive recreational mountain-bike use. This black pair uses a low-profile, open platform with replaceable traction pins, giving riders a stable surface while retaining the freedom to lift a foot without releasing from a cleat.

The die-cast aluminum body balances strength and weight, while the chromoly steel spindle supports demanding riding loads. Giant equips each side of each pedal with ten replaceable pins to help ordinary flat-pedal shoes maintain grip. The open body allows mud, water, and trail debris to pass through instead of accumulating on a solid platform.

Sealed bearings support smooth rotation and help protect the internals in poor weather. Giant lists a platform size of approximately 105 × 102 × 20 mm and a pair weight of approximately 385 g. The 9/16-inch threads fit the standard three-piece cranksets used on most adult mountain bikes.

Flat-pedal traction depends on shoe sole, pin condition, foot placement, and trail conditions. Inspect and replace damaged pins as necessary. During installation, identify the left and right pedals, start both threads by hand, and follow the crank or bicycle manufacturer’s torque and lubrication instructions.
